The clue is in the name. Linguists may know that Supangle spoken in Turkish sounds a bit like soop-anglay, and soop-anglay sounds a bit like the French words Soupe Anglais.
So what is Soupe Anglais?
Custard! (But a warning before you try putting it on your hot apple pie - Supangle is usually chocolate-flavoured!)
Supangle and an excellent range of other Turkish goods are available in the US from Turkish Taste - however British readers will have to make their own (or just go out and buy some Bird's...)
